A couple decades ago, I went to Europe and came home with Swiss chocolate. When I got that bag back, it had "inspected by" stickers for every airport it passed through. :-D

All fun, repulses?
Username checks out
Always wanted to say that where it fits and isn't the main joke itself already
It's funny because lolnein's username is very applicable to their comment.
beep bop if you hate me, reply with "stop". If you just got smart, reply with "start".
I'm not sure whether you meant that as a compliment or insult ...
He also posts that into /r/de and I just translated a comment from there into English. https://www.reddit.com/r/de/comments/5yedrf/der_koffer/depegyo/?utm_content=permalink&utm_medium=front&utm_source=reddit&utm_name=de
In4 lolnein train. I'm amazed how quick you're posting these without sacrificing quality
You should post it into /r/animaltextgifs
When you think it's going to be a Discworld Reference...
Is it just me or did this one work better in your German version? I feel like the text was more colorful than here.
Hmmm. They look the same to me. And they should have the same colours and GIF settings.
Bad wording on my part.
I meant the wording in English is very blunt and short, while in German it's more descriptive, making the joke better.
I don't speak German but I clicked through and watched his German version also, and I think I agree with you. I don't really know how that works, because, as I stated previously, I do not speak German. But I swear it does work better somehow.
I think a good chunk of American humor is blunt so that kinda adds to it for us. I don't know anything about Germany, but my family in Italy doesn't often find our stuff as funny as we do and vice versa
Ah, alright. Yes, maybe you're right. Often things get lost in translation. And since German is my mother tongue, I have a better feeling for it. That might be the reason why the English versions feel a bit blunter sometimes.
Hahah lolnein your posts are so funny!
